Learning Trends in 2018

Present Realities vs. Future Possibilities

In mid-December 2017, we conducted our annual Learning Trends Survey. This is the fourth year in a row we’ve conducted this survey and each year we get better insight into the trends and challenges that trainers face every day.

Speaking of trends, it’s easy to get lost in the hype around all the emerging technology (virtual reality, artificial intelligence, etc.). So our goal was simple: cut through the noise. We wanted to get a clear picture of both present realities and future possibilities. We wanted to know the following: what learning trends are people excited about? Which training methods and technologies are organizations actually planning to use in 2018? Do trainers get input from their learners as part of the training design process?

In this session, we will analyze and discuss this year’s survey results. We’ll also give insight into what has changed over the years, what has stayed the same, and the overall direction the L&D industry is headed.

After attending this webinar, you'll be able to:

Recognize the importance of getting input and feedback from your learners as part of the design process.

Understand how various training methods might be used in the year ahead.

Identify emerging learning trends and how to incorporate them into your own solutions.

Apply practical solutions to common training challenges.
