We are proud to announce that Dayspring Center’s #GivingTuesday movement was a huge success! Bottom-Line Performance and Silver in the City partnered with Dayspring Center, an emergency homeless shelter for families in Indianapolis, to match each donation that was made during the #GivingTuesday campaign. This year’s campaign brought in over $29,000 for the shelter.
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It’s celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. The movement connects diverse groups of individuals, communities and organizations around the world for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving.
Dayspring Center’s Development Coordinator, Cheryl Herzog, expressed her gratitude for all the support the shelter received this year: “Every homeless child arriving in the coming weeks will have the comfort, encouragement and hope they need to feel confident, get healthy and back on track in the classroom. We realize there are many worthy organizations you could have chosen to support. We are so grateful you chose Indy’s homeless families and their children! Thank you for the many ways your gifts will change their lives.”
We’ve partnered with Dayspring Center over the years to renovate a playground, paint rooms, help needy families shop for the holidays and so much more as part of our BLP Cares program.
