Kristen Hewett, Senior Learning Designer at Bottom-Line Performance, was named to the Watch List for Training Magazine’s 2016 Emerging Training Leaders awards. The program recognizes training professionals who have been in the industry for two to 10 years and have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, business savvy and training instincts.

All Emerging Training Leader candidates had to be nominated by co-workers or industry peers. Training Editorial Advisory Board members and the editor-in-chief judged the nearly 60 nominations and chose the winners based on the following factors:

  • Years spent in the training industry
  • New job responsibilities
  • Experience leading large learning and development initiatives that resulted in achievement of a corporate and strategic goal.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities.
  • Has the potential to lead an entire L&D function in the next 10 years.

“As I read through each of those points from top to bottom, it’s clear that Kristen is the perfect candidate for this award” said Kirk Boller, co-owner and CFO of Bottom-Line Performance. “The application really wrote itself based on Kristen’s accomplishments. She is invaluable both as a team leader at BLP and as a resource to our clients.”

Kristen is featured in the May/June 2016 issue of Training magazine and on their website, www.trainingmag.com.
