This workshop focuses on the possibilities and challenges of virtual teaming. Through a simulation that requires participants to function as a virtual team, participants experience the complexities of virtual teamwork and gain insights in how to maximize the possibilities of virtual teaming while resolving the challenges. Has anyone ever accused you of being a poor listener? Have you ever watched a polished speaker present his or her ideas while others raptly listened and wished you could command the same attention when presenting your ideas? Do you wish you could come across more effectively to others, better understand others’ viewpoints, and more ably express your own – both at work and in your personal life? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this workshop can add value to you. It explores listening behaviors, offer tips for presenting ideas more effectively both orally and in writing, and gives valuable insights into what makes communication effective or ineffective.
