BLP

Who I Am

I am Vice President at Bottom-Line Performance.

What I bring to your bottom line…

I dive into every project in “aim-to-please” mode, and think of my clients as my partners in developing a solution that, at the end of the day, pleases them, and exceeds their expectations. I don’t want clients to just recommend BLP to others; I want clients to rave about BLP and the solutions we offer. I started my career in the 1990s as a customer service trainer, and spent a lot of time reading the “Knock Your Socks Off Service” book series. Those books, and the ideas within them, still resonate with me today. Nothing makes me happier than a glowing testimonial or positive feedback from a client. When they are happy, my job is done.

Facts About Me…

  • I love to write—I have a B.A. in Creative Writing from DePauw University and have always dreamed of getting published. I have been working on a coming-of-age friendship novel based loosely on my own relationships since the late 90s. Someday….
  • I was the first employee hired by Bottom-Line Performance.
  • I am a pop-culture fanatic. I subscribe to Entertainment Weekly magazine, watch Access Hollywood regularly, vote for American Idol(s) every season, and sink in all the pre-award show red carpet activities! I’ll be your “call a friend” on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, or go-to person for Trivial Pursuit’s pop culture questions any day!
  • I am a very loud and proud Colts fan!

How I like to give back…

As the mother of two active boys, I find that most of my time giving back revolves around their activities. My husband and I “divide and conquer” for sports, scouts, school, and church activities! It seems we’re always busy coordinating snack schedules, fundraisers, tournaments, and classroom parties..and that’s just how we like it.

Through Bottom-Line Performance, I’ve had the privilege to give back to DaySpring Center in Indianapolis in many ways: making lunch, hosting a kids’ party, repairing and painting hallways, and organizing clothing and other items at Christmas time.

From an industry standpoint, I’ve been extremely active in the Central Indiana Chapter of ASTD (American Society of Training & Development). I was the Communications and Membership Committee Chairperson and then joined the Board of Directors in 2005 as Vice President of Membership. I served as President of the Chapter in 2008 and Past-President last year.
