What I bring to your Bottom Line

I come from a liberal arts school, so I studied a little of everything, but my primary background is in graphic design and marketing. The most rewarding part about design, for me, is coming up with dozens of solutions, then pinpointing the very best one. I hate being late for anything, as even the slightest postponement of a deadline gives me an anxiety attack. I am also passionate about writing and am constantly trying to improve. I feel like every project (in some way) is supposed to tell you a story; it is how that story is told that makes a world of difference.

Facts About Me

• I graduated from the University Scholars program at Xavier University with a B.A. in Fine Art.
• My brain is probably too inundated with sports for my own good (Jeff Foster is the man).
• I love books by fellow Hoosier, Kurt Vonnegut.
• I'm a doodler.

How I like to Give Back

For my senior thesis project this past spring, I worked with an elementary school in Norwood, Ohio, to develop and create a series of educational posters, bookmarks, and handouts regarding test-taking strategies. My goal was to come up with engaging materials that would help young students know what to focus on when they study and help teachers with conveying their lesson plans. In the end, the school received over 50 posters (in addition to the other materials) of various sizes to be hung in the hallways. I knew I wanted to do something to contribute to the local community, and helping and teaching children has always been something I'm interested in.
