Who I am

I am the Vice President of Learning Services.

What I bring to your Bottom Line

I’m all about helping you figure out the solution that makes the most sense – for your people, your goals, your budget, your business. Sometimes, that means a fabulous technology-based solution that puts you on the cutting (some say bleeding) edge of technology applications; sometimes, that just means a simple tool that just gets the information where it needs to be when it needs to be there. I ask lots of questions about the implications of what you want to make sure you end up with a solution that meets your long-term as well as short-term goals.

Facts About Me
  • I’ve been a consultant, a corporate training director, a manager, a mentor, an employee, a student, and several times all of these at once. I have an MS in Education (Adult) and am a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) through ISPI.
  • I love the “light bulb goes off” moment – seeing someone who gets it for the first time is one of the most rewarding experiences in learning for me.
  • I love driving, preferably in a stick-shift convertible on a curvy, hilly road (yes, I live in central Indiana – I dream a lot, too).
  • I have a laugh that I just can’t hold back – people use it as a homing beacon to find me!
How I like to Give Back

I focus my giving back on growth: education (growing people) and the environment (growing plants).

Education: My family and I support our universities (DePauw and Indiana) financially. I also volunteer at my son’s school and at our church on educational projects. I guess I just can’t get away from learning!

Environment: I recently went through the training to become a Master Gardener, so I spend lots of hours giving presentations, answering questions, and digging in the dirt. (If you ask me a question, my standard answer is “Let me look that up for you.”) Ironically, the Master Gardener slogan is “Helping Others Grow” . . . I think I found a good fit!
