Bottom-Line Performance (BLP) is the proud recipient of three awards in the 2013 Horizon Interactive Awards competition. The prestigious competition receives thousands of entries each year, and only 50% of all entries receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze distinction for excellence in interactive media.

The Slips, Trips, and Falls eLearning course earned a “Silver” designation in the Training/eLearning category. The course was created in partnership with Regis Corporation as part of an innovative new eLearning program envisioned by Regis’ safety group.

“We were looking to transform the safety learning experience for all our employees,” said Nancy Devine, VP Insurance & Risk Management at Regis Corporation. “Bottom-Line Performance helped us accomplish this by creating visually appealing, scenario-based interactive safety modules that are very engaging to the learner.”

Transform Guru, a serious game created with the Knowledge Guru® game engine, earned a “Bronze” designation in both the “Training/eLearning” and “Websites – Games” categories. The game was created in partnership with Dow AgroSciences to support a new product launch.

“This was our first attempt at incorporating a Knowledge Guru game as a learning tool, and extremely positive responses from sales reps have encouraged us to develop similar games for other projects,” said Kevin Steffey, Global Technology Transfer Leader for Insect Management at Dow AgroSciences.“One of our seasoned subject matter experts who reviewed the game indicated the game was lots of fun and would be a good tool for our reps. The sales reps used the game to test their knowledge about the product before launch, and the game contributed to a very successful launch.”

The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition recognizing outstanding achievement among interactive media producers. The competition recognizes and awards the best web sites, videos, online advertising, print media and mobile applications. Each year, the Horizon Interactive Awards receives thousands of entries from all over the world. A panel of industry professionals, from diverse multi-media, graphic design and marketing backgrounds, review the entries to determine the work that is to be recognized.

Sharon Boller, company president and Chief Product Officer for Bottom-Line Performance had this to say upon award notification, “Our goal is to provide best-in-class learning solutions to our clients. We want our solutions to be on the leading edge of technology, and we want these solutions to be meaningful, memorable, and motivating to learners. This award serves as recognition that we are meeting both goals.”

Both Slips, Trips, and Falls and Transform Guru are tablet friendly learning solutions that represent an industry-wide trend towards immersive, game-like, eLearning experiences. Both solutions align with BLP’s company philosophy: “Meet Today’s Needs. Anticipate Tomorrow’s. Share What’s Possible.”

The Horizon Interactive Awards announcement comes just weeks before Knowledge Guru’s highly anticipated Spring Release, which brings new theme packs and features to the product’s growing customer base. The Spring Release will be on display at the 2014 ASTD International Conference, May 4th – 7th in Washington DC.
