On August 29, 2018, Bottom-Line Performance hosted its very first eXLearn conference here in Indianapolis, Indiana. With 110 attendees, 1 fabulous keynote, 5 demo stations, and 10 speakers and panelists, eXLearn wasn’t anything short of amazing.

The goal for this conference was to provide an intimate learning and networking experience for our clients, employees, and peers in the L&D industry. eXLearn was one action-packed day, where we heard from industry thought leaders, practiced designing better learning experiences, and saw what’s possible with the latest learning technologies.

Dr. Will Thalheimer kicked off the day as our keynote speaker followed by an interactive Design Thinking Workshop with BLP President, Sharon Boller, and BLP Manager of Instructional Design, Laura Fletcher. In the afternoon, four of BLP’s clients shared case studies of successful projects they created in partnership with BLP. We ended the day with a panel discussion covering the topic, “challenges in measuring excellence in learning.”

Thank you to those of you who could join us for such a special inaugural event!

What Attendees Said

“Excellent BLP staff!!! Thanks for taking the time to pull this together for our Central Indiana learning community. It’s nice to have options in local conferences that hit the nail on the head in terms of shareable learning topics and case studies.”

“Great job! on both content and presentation. I prefer practical sessions and this conference delivered. I got some useful tools that I implemented right away in my own business.”

“You’ve cornered the market. I hope you do it again.”

“Overall, a great conference and I would definitely attend again. It was affordable and informational, with great takeaways.”

What BLP Employees Said

“I love seeing all the emerging technology and that we’re already working with it. I can’t wait to see what we do in the future!”

“Being able to hear industry experts’ thought processes and ideas on where they’re headed was good insight I can use with future clients.”

“Inspired me to want to do more creative and gamified approaches in the future.”

“The demo stations were very helpful to me. I don’t always get to see everything all of our teams are doing, so that was a really nice showcase.”

“Being able to connect with others in the industry that are fairly local was a huge bonus for me.”

“(eXLearn was) a reminder of how our work impacts others. A lot of people have benefited from the work we’ve done.”

“I think it provided a great “big picture” of why we do what we do, the idea that the work betters a community of people.”
