We’re big fans of the Life Science Trainer and Educators Network (LTEN) annual conference. LTEN is the largest professional development organization for life science trainers, and they offer a wide range of educational programming to further the profession. We’ve attended the annual conference each year since 2014, and each year it seems the quality of the educational sessions and general programming gets better and better.
This year, we’ll be presenting two sessions and showing off our custom learning design and development capabilities in the expo hall. Several BLPers will be in attendance, and the list of sessions we hope to attend is long! Here are eight sessions we are especially excited for.

Second, Stahl will cover the technological obstacles encountered when attempting to align the vision for online sales simulation using multi-branching sales scenarios ran up against the realities of the authoring tool. Third, he’ll discuss the overall reaction to the automated role-play, what was done to help push and encourage uptake, and the lessons learned from that process. And finally, he’ll discuss implementation and the goals that were achieved.

Presented by: Lisa Lukawski, Katie Gibbs, & Sarah Pinson Ezanidis
Wednesday, 6/13: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
UCB is well established as a leader in the adult Epilepsy therapeutic area. With the addition of a pediatric indication, this organization saw a need to address the differences between selling in an adult space and the challenging dynamic of the pediatric space where families, caregivers, and physicians play roles in treatment decisions.
In an effort to marry their patient centricity with the highly specialized area of Epilepsy, UCB developed a unique and innovative way to fully immerse the commercial facing staff members in journey that a pediatric epilepsy patient, their family, and their caregivers go on from initial symptom presentation, diagnosis, disease management, and future goals thereby enabling sales representatives to not only have thoughtful clinical discussions but bring the patient to the forefront of each discussion with a provider.
