The project story

Roche partnered with BLP, now TiER1 to reIMAGINE cobas® training with a blended learning, hands-on approach that emphasized practice opportunities and daily tasks. The curriculum has driven business results for Roche and won several industry awards.

Roche Diagnostics

Roche Diagnostics is a diagnostic division of Hoffmann-La Roche which manufactures equipment and reagents for research and medical diagnostic applications.

Continue Roche’s mission of helping customers be confident and competent immediately after completing customer training.

    We conducted a thorough analysis of Roche’s existing customer training, then designed and developed the new curriculum. What we did:
  • Develop new online pre-work that sets expectations and provides basic facts.
  • Build a “Flashcard App” for mobile reinforcement.
  • Implement a 5-day classroom training program with online “learning checkpoints.”
  • Build an iPad app that Field Application Specialists can use to shorten and standardize on-site training.
  • Create a pocket-sized notebook to replace the large user guide lab operators previously used.
  • Design new on-site training that is customizable, easy to administer, and learner-centric.
  • Move high technical topics to Advanced Training so new customers can focus on the fundamentals first.
