Sharon Boller and Dr. Karl Kapp’s new book on learning game design is now available! “Play to Learn: Everything You Need to Know About Designing Effective Learning Games” can be ordered from ATD Press and Amazon.com.
The book bridges the gap between instructional design and game design and presents a step-by-step approach to designing learning games. It shows trainers and instructional designers how to link game design to business needs and learning objectives. This way, they can deploy games that engage and excite learners.
Sharon and Karl have been delivering learning game design workshops together at industry conferences throughout the United States since 2013. “Play to Learn” turns these workshops into a concise guidebook trainers and designers can easily apply to their own projects.
To celebrate the launch of the book, Sharon and Karl are kicking off a book tour that blends conference workshops, webinars and guest bloggers. Some fantastic folks have signed on to participate in our tour. Each blog stop will add a new perspective to the conversation around learning game design.
